    • Classical Ballet of Colorado (CBC), under the direction of Elizabeth Shipiatsky and Maria Tyukova, trains students in Vaganova ballet, modern, and jazz technique, character dance, classical variations, repertoire and pas de deux. The aim of CBC is to produce dancers who possess a strong, clean, classical technique with great emphasis on artistry, musicality, purity of line, coordination and a quality of movement that is free of mannerisms.

CBC is a non-competitive studio. However, some of our students participate in both Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and Denver Ballet Guild each year for the benefits of performance experience, scholarships and contracts. CBC students have received high awards at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), including the Grand Prix award, several 1st place awards, and more. YAGP has also honored CBC with the Outstanding Studio and Outstanding Teacher awards.

CBC students have been accepted into such prestigious schools as: English National Ballet (London), Vaganova Ballet Academy (Saint Petersburg, Russia), Kirov Ballet (Washington D.C.), Bolshoi Academy (Moscow, Russia), Bolshoi Summer Intensive (NY and CT), American Ballet Theatre, School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, Arizona Ballet, and Houston Ballet.

Drawing students from Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Parker, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Englewood, Arvada, Westminster, Lakewood, Northglenn, Broomfield, Boulder and Fort Collins.
